More portable than the above book, but available only in the Canary Islands, is The Best of Canary Island Cooking, written by various authors.A Birdwatchers' Guide to the Canary Islands, by Tony Clarke and David Collins, is the perfect companion for a pair of skyward-pointed binoculars.
