Getting There

There are no direct flights from North America or Australasia, and the only flight from Europe is from Lisbon via TAP (Air Portugal). There are regular flights between São Tomé and Libreville in Gabon, Douala (Cameroon) and Malabo (Equatorial Guinea). You can also sail to São Tomé from Libreville and Douala.

Getting Around

Air São Tomé e Príncipe has four flights a week between the islands, and there are infrequent ferries. Many of the roads are sealed but potholes make the progress slow. There are plenty of taxis and colectivos (share taxis) on São Tomé that connect most towns. Príncipe has just 12km (7.4mi) of roads, and its only public transport is a red minibus.
