I have a black tie affair to attend in Europe and I don't know if I should rent a tuxedo here in the U.S. and transport it or just rent it overseas.
Although the concierge at most major hotels should be able to point you toward a fast, reliable tuxedo shop in most major European cities, this could take time and might pose some difficulties. Instead, it might be a good idea to rent the tuxedo before you travel. You can look through the yellow pages for most area codes and find shops that rent tuxedos. If you tell them that you're traveling, they might provide a suitable luggage bag so that the tux doesn't get too wrinkled. Most luggage stores also sell reliable suit bags. If the tux does get wrinkled during the journey, most major hotels have dry cleaning service so that you'll look your best at the black-tie affair.
