What's the best way to adjust to a high altitude? |

Upon arrival, drink plenty of liquids and restrict vigorous activity for the first day. Avoid alcohol and caffeine for the first 24 hours. Altitude illness can spoil a vacation, causing nausea, headache, and difficulty breathing. If you have had problems before when traveling to a high altitude, consult your doctor about a prescription before your trip.
