How do I avoid getting queasy on a flight?
There are various ways to combat air sickness. Medication is available in most drugstores, or there's the doctor prescribed variety. If turbulence is a problem, request a seat in the over-the-wing area. It's the most stable part of the aircraft, and offers the smoothest ride. Also, you may want to avoid those airline mystery meals and sodium-laden snacks. Pack a sandwich, some fruit, or a snack in your carry-on (ginger pieces supposedly help settle your stomach). Bringing your own herbal tea bags is another possibility--the stewardess can provide the cup of hot water.
