What's a good way to make sure I don't forget certain tasks before I leave on a trip? |

A few days before you leave (or at least before you start packing), make a checklist. Include everything you need to take care of before leaving, such as putting your mail on hold, turning down your thermostat, unplugging electrical appliances, watering the plants, telling a neighbor you'll be gone (and if anyone will be stopping by for house or pet sitting), and so on. Check these items off as you take care of them and then enjoy your trip knowing you haven't left anything undone!
