A flight attendants' trick is to pack cosmetics in clear ziplock bags. If the bottles leak, not only will the product not get all over your clothes, but you can just throw the plastic bag away instead of having to clean out a cosmetics case. You'll also have the advantage of being able to see where everything is for quick, easy access.
