How do I remove old oil stains from pavement?
Sprinkle some dishwasher detergent on the oil stain and add just enough water to make a paste. Then brush it in and, if it is likely to rain, cover it with plastic wrap. Within a few hours you should be able to carefully rinse it away. Be warned, however, that this will likely kill any plants the rinse water hits. You'll probably want to wipe up as much of the paste as you can (with paper towels and rubber gloves) before rinsing the spot.
