The target heart rate is a range that is a percent of your maximum heart rate. This range indicates the number of times per minute your heart should beat during cardiovascular exercise. Finding Your Target Heart Rate
An easy method of determining your target heart rate is by subtracting your age from 220 and then multipling this number by .5 and .85. This will provide you with your target heart rate range
