| | Often, there are no symptoms in the early stages of stomach cancer, or the patient dismisses the symptoms. Many symptoms of stomach cancer are similar to those of other gastrointestinal problems, such as ulcers, or even simple indigestion. As a result, the cancer is typically not diagnosed until it has progressed.
Some of the symptoms of stomach cancer include indigestion or a burning sensation in the stomach; pain or discomfort in the abdomen; nausea and vomiting; diarrhea or constipation; bloating of the stomach after meals; loss of appetite; distaste for meat; weakness and fatigue; blood in the stool; and vomiting blood.
