Nepal Food as Fuel
In this, one of the steepest countries on the planet, food is valued primarily for human fuel rather than social interaction. In a land of rugged terrain soaring up from lush jungle to snow-covered peaks, including Mt. Everest, being thin is not considered an asset. Though there are a few outside influences from China, Tibet and India, most Nepali cuisine is as basic as it gets, with simple preparation and quick consumption. But there are a few national specialties found nowhere else, so join us as as we explore the foods of the world's highest country.
