Has passion ignited between Irish movie idol Colin Farrell and American pop tart Britney Spears? As Farrell tells TV Guide Online, those romance rumors are "a load of bollocks. Oh, totally! I take it with a grain of salt."
What about the 26-year-old canoodling with Spears (who just turned 21) at The Recruit's premiere? That wasn't a sign they're dating? "No, not at all man," he says. "There was 25 of us there at that screening the other night."
And what of Spears visiting him on the set of S.W.A.T., the action film he's making with Samuel L. Jackson and Olivier Martinez? "She came with her brother and had a look on the set and met everyone," Farrell scoffs. "It was nothing. They've all been around for the last week because of the Recruit premiere. We're all enjoying ourselves."
Asked if he's dating anyone, Farrell says: "Nobody, no." So he's a single man about town? "I am," he smirks. Ah, but is he really the debauched Dubliner he's been made out to be, catting around with all those women? "Of course!" he shouts. "I'm young. I'm not in a relationship. What, I'm not gonna make love to women? Gimme a f---in' break.
"It's nothing to do with me thinking I'm f---in' great, or I'm an actor or a superstar," says Farrell, who plays deadly Bullseye in Daredevil (debuting Feb. 14). "It's any guy. It's just because I'm an actor, of course, that it gets blown out of proportion. There you go. It's par for the course."
